Parents' Day
Parents' Day is a Day for children to honor their parents as a combination of Fathers' Day and Mothers' Day as in South Korea, or it is a Day for Parents to rededicate themselves to their Parenting Duties as in the United States. Parents' Day is observed in the United States, South Korea, and Vietnam at different times of the Year.
In the United States, Parents' Day, also known as National Parents' Day is an official held on the fourth Sunday of July. The bill was introduced by Senator Trent Lott and signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994. It was established to "recognizing, uplifting, and supporting the role of parents in the rearing of children."
Parents' Day is a faith based holiday, yet religiously diverse, it is desecribed as a day when parents "honor their children and the God-centered family ideal by rededicating themselves to manifest the highest standard of unconditional true love". Most organizations that spread the observance of the holiday, like the National Parents’ Day Coallition, connect it with conservative values like abstinence prior to marriage.

In South Korea, Parents' Day celebrations take place on May 8th. The day was originally celebrated as Mother's Day which later turned into Parent's Day to include fathers. On Parent's Day, children pay tribute to their parents and grandparents usually by gifting of a carnation or a rose and singing Parent's Day songs. Many children and young people use this time to volunteer to help the elderly.
In Vietnam, Parents Day is observed on July 7th. On this day, children and teenagers give gifts, carnations, and cards (usually handmade), and homemade meals to their parents. Many celebrate this day through a family trip or adventure.
