SIMCHAT TORAH
Tu BiShvat, also known as Tu B Shevat, Rosh HaShanah La'Ilanot, or New Year of the Trees Simkhes Toreh, or Rejoicing of the Torah, is a Jewish holiday occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat.
It is an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration.
Over a million Israelis take part in the Jewish National Fund's Tu BiShvat tree-planting activities and many of Israel's major institutions have chosen this day for their inauguration.
