Setup

The Dealer makes a pyramid out of 15 cards face down and then deals 5 cards to each player face down (dealing one at a time areound the circle until all players have 5 cards). Players may look at the five cards in front of them ONLY ONCE, making sure no other player can see.

Gameplay

Each card in the Pyramid is worth one drink (see Variations for other very common drink values)
The dealer then flips the first card in the bottom row. If a player has the same card (number value), the player can tell someone to drink. The player may also bluff that they have the card. The oposing players can drink or call the bluff.

If the oposing player calls the bluff and the player doesn't have the same card, the player drinks double. If the player has the card the oposing player drinks double (or see variation C). They player must flip the card to prove it, and is given a new card face down (They may only look at it once).  The Player must only flip one (If they flip the wrong card, they must still drink double - and can only replace the card they flipped) So the true goal is to make other players drink based on what cards that they think you have (you want them to call your bluff if you have it, and not call it when you don't).

For Example, If Mel tells Paddy to drink, but Paddy says Mel is bluffing, Mel has to flip the corrct card - fliping the wrong card results in a penalty where Mel must drink twice the amount she would have given Paddy. Taking out the correct card makes Paddy drink twice the amount he would have had he not Bluffed.
If a Player has two or three cards that match the flipped card they may give all three drinks to one person or split it up between players however they wish.

Most people play that Each card in the bottom row represents one drink, After the bottom row is all flipped, continue on the next row.
Each card in the second row (from the bottom) represents two drinks, After this row is all flipped, continue on the next row.
Each card in the third row (from the bottom) represents three drinks, After this row is all flipped, continue on the next row.
Each card in the fourth row (from the bottom) represents four drinks, After this row is all flipped, continue on the final card.
The card at the apex of the pyramid is worth five drinks.

(Variation A) The Memory Challenge

When the pyramid is over, players take turns in memorizing their deck, in the right order. For every card they get wrong, an agreed penalty is dealt. A common amount is 1/2 beer, where if a player can't remember any cards they must finish a beer.

(Variation B) Triple Bluff Busts

In this variation a failed bluff drinks triple.  For Example, If a Paddy tells Scotty to drink on a number and Paddy calls "bullshit", then Paddy DOES have the card, Scotty must drink TRIPLE instead of double. If a Paddy tells Scotty to drink on a number and Paddy calls "bullshit", then Paddy DOES NOT have the card, Then Paddy drinks double - same as before.

(Variation C) Big Pyramid

In this Variation the dealer makes a pyramid out of 21 cards (6 cards on the bottom row, 5 on the next, then 4, 3, 2, and 1 card  on the apex). Next, the dealer passes out FOUR cards to each player, face down. Players can look at their cards only once and should not let other players see them.

(Variation D) Little League Rules

All cards in the whole pyramid are worth one drink

(Variation E) Amnesia Rules

In this variation players may look at their cards at any time but must take a one drink penalty.
