Setup

Players start with either equally filled cups, glasses, cans, bottles, or vessel.
All players start at the same time (usually best to tap cups to start). Impartial third partie(s) are essential to determine the winner of close races.

Gameplay

The first to finish the beer wins.

(Variation A) No Crushing

Some rules state that a player may not crush plastic cups or cans in order to facilitate the flow.

(Variation B) Shower

The winner signals that they are finished by holding the glass upside-down above their head. All other players that are not finished must do the same whether or not they have finished drinking. In this variation, it isn't required that the winner finishes the beer before claiming to have won, The player who holds the cup upside-down over their head is the winner, regardless of who drinks more.
